Equine Oil Paint Portrait
The product
Whether you’re commemorating a lifelong bond, honoring a champion, or giving a deeply personal gift, your painting will be a one-of-a-kind tribute that lasts generations.
Each piece is created with high-quality oil paints, which have been favored by artists for centuries because of their depth, vibrancy, and durability. The slow drying quality of oil paints allows for subtle blending and intricate detail. Because of the slow drying time, please keep in mind your painting may need months to fully cure before a varnish can be applied.
These paintings will come with a certification of authenticity that ensures your painting is an original, one of a kind piece that will never be replicated. This can also be used for insurance purposes.
The process

We will communicate through email to make sure I know exactly how you want the painting to look
Review the invoice and submit payment
I will get to work!
Once the painting is complete, I will send you a photo for final approval. This is your chance to give feedback before no more changes can be made.
Oil paintings can take weeks to months to fully cure. I will keep you updated on the timing of this process. If you want a painting in a specific timeframe, I recommend a pet portrait, which is done in acrylic paint and dries in 24 hours.
A varnish is applied to seal and protect the painting. After the varnish is dry, the painting will be packed and shipped or delivered* to you.
*For clients on the Colorado Front Range, I offer in-person delivery at no charge when you purchase a stretched canvas equine oil painting portrait.
